CFLW appoints Eljo Haspels as Technology Director
1 October 2021 – CFLW Cyber Strategies BV (CFLW) will increase its focus to develop its technology function, building CFLW Intelligence Services on top of the Dark Web Monitor to address the existing market need for structural solutions serving law enforcement, virtual asset service providers, financial institutes, and cyber security agencies in fighting cyber-enabled financial crimes.
To achieve this goal, CFLW has appointed Eljo Haspels, MSc as Technology Director, joining Dr Mark van Staalduinen on CFLW’s Board of Directors. Eljo will be responsible for optimizing and maturing the technology function, driving research and innovation outcomes, and overseeing development and operations of CFLW Intelligence Services.
Eljo earned his Master’s in Industrial Engineering & Management from University of Twente and has more than 10 years’ experience innovating digital solutions and enhancing UX in the technology sector. As Cointel’s former CEO, Eljo’s addition to the management team combines Cointel’s expertise in forensic analysis of cryptocurrency transactions with CFLW’s strengths in OSINT solutions, furthering their aim to make cyberspace a safer place.
In his personal capacity, Eljo is a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) which provides development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. He is married and has a 2-year-old son.
“We are delighted to have Eljo apply his leadership in digital innovation and knowledge of cryptocurrencies to take CFLW’s growth to the next level.” says Dr Mark van Staalduinen, Managing Director of CFLW. CFLW and Cointel first announced their partnership to develop solutions in fighting Dark Web and Virtual Asset crimes in October 2020, with transparency and forensic assurance underlining their approach.
